‘To be recognised alongside some of the UK’s best new businesses is very humbling’

A BUSINESSWOMAN who gave up a highly paid corporate role and started a business from her living room with no savings has been recognised on a national level.

Natalie Ellis, founder and director of Rebox HR, based near Daventry and a bespoke outsourced HR department for SMEs, is heading for Wembley Stadium next month for the finals of the SME National Business Awards.

“I am so excited and so proud,” she said. “We have a true passion for delivering a quality HR service and that is the driving force for our success. We just like to do the best we can for our clients and to be recognised nationally is something we still can’t quite believe.”

The SME National Business Awards are in their sixth year and are recognised as the credible opportunity where the best SMEs in the UK are recognised and championed.

After setting up Rebox HR, Natalie pictured left became an employer in February 2022 and their support of small businesses throughout the pandemic ensured those businesses survived and went on to grow.

“Despite working in a very competitive sector, we are proud that after making a profit in year one we doubled our turnover in year two,” Natalie said. “All that hard work and commitment to doing what we do does make a difference to our clients and to be recognised alongside some of the UK’s best new businesses is very humbling.”

Natalie is also the author of Launch Your HR Career and speaks at conferences to support people in the HR profession. Rebox HR also has a full range of training courses to develop people management skills.

“Every year we received hundreds of applications and only the very best make it to the finals night at the iconic Wembley Stadium,” said awards director Damian Cummins.

“The awards are judged by an independent panel of expert business leaders from across the UK and I have no doubt that they would have been incredibly impressed by people like Natalie and the real difference she has made to businesses that she works with.

“I wish her and all other finalists all the very best.” The awards ceremony takes place on December 3.
